La Montañuela Wine
La Montañuela is the wine label of Camila Carrillo, grown and made in Vermont.
The label is an ode to her grandfather, her family, her childhood, and her Colombian roots. La Montañuela was reborn in 2019, the same year her grandfather passed away and the same year she released her first wine to the world. In his honor, Camila chose to carry forward the name of his beloved farm, grounding the work in memory, place, and lineage.
Both in the vineyard and the cellar, La Montañuela follows a simple, traditional approach: observing nature, learning from it, and working alongside it. As taught by her mentors, Deirdre Heekin and Caleb Barber of La Garagista, winemaking begins in the vineyard.
